The AUA is offering an excellent series of research events for the 2019 AUA Annual Meeting beginning on Friday, May 3.
The theme for the 2019 Urologic Oncology Research Symposium, which features prominent physician-scientists, researchers and leaders in the field of urologic oncology, is "Metabolism and Cancer." This full-day symposium will be held on Friday, May 3, from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The AUA and the Society for Basic Urologic Research (SBUR) are co-hosting this year's Basic Sciences Symposium. This half-day meeting, titled "Social (and Antisocial) Cell Signaling Networks in the Urinary Tract," will be held on Sunday, May 5 from 7:30-11:30 a.m.
The Challenges for Urologic Research Series, which will focus on "Use and Misuse of Testosterone Therapy: What the Research Tells Us," will be offered on Saturday morning, May 4 from 7:30-11:30 a.m. This meeting is co-hosted by the AUA and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA).
Sessions on Sunday afternoon, May 5 will provide our early-career investigator community with robust learning and networking opportunities at the "Funding Opportunities and Grant Writing Guidance for Early-Career Investigators" and the Research Forum: "Early-Career Investigators Showcase."
The AUA2019 plenary program will also include three talks featuring AUA and Urology Care Foundation research programs:
- "Highlights of Urologic Oncology Research"
- "Highlights of Benign Urologic Research"
- "Rising Stars in Urology Research Spotlight"
